A New Type of Cluster Living for Gung-dong Students

Youth housing in Gung-dong has converged on efficient single-room cells, producing a paradox of high physical density and deep social isolation. α - Cluster Living proposes taste-based clusters that organize residents around shared interests and lifestyles. An optional α-space module, such as a study room or a home-training space, is attached to the standard unit so that each resident can shape their own dwelling. These modules make residents' patterns of life visible and act as a catalyst that gathers people with similar interests into a community.
